FIVE DAYS....

Well, in case you didn't know by now, Jen and I are getting married this Saturday July 4th. What a great way to celebrate our independence!!! Not so much independence but you understand what I'm saying. No matter how hard we have tried its just inevitable that this week is going to be a little chaotic. There is still a lot left to do- between all the projects Jen's dad is doing at the reception site (his backyard), the small jobs my parents have created for Alan and I, plus Jen and I are still trying to get our new home ready, so we've all been spread a little thin And then there's all the planning stuff too, but either way after Saturday we're gonna be hitched regardless.

We have however reserved all of our excursions for our cruise. We're gonna do a bunch of really fun stuff and both Jen and I are extremely excited and ready to play.

So, for those of you coming into town this weekend- weather looks good, church should be packed so please get there early, the Miller residence should be done, and as long as I don't hurt myself in the world's largest 10K that morning we'll see you there. Safe travels

Less than a month to go!

Only 29 days.... 4 more Saturdays.... 2 more paychecks.... 1 more oil change.... you get the idea ; )

All the last minute details are coming together nicely. Last Saturday was spent laying 5 1/2 pallets of Bermuda sod in Dad's backyard so the reception site will be nice and green on the 4th! All the services for the day are nailed down tight and the honeymoon is booked! And most importantly, Jake has his red bow tie so he's ready to Par-TAY!!

Just a reminder, if you're coming from out of town and haven't made hotel reservations yet, get 'er done! Can't wait to see everyone : )

47 days and counting....

Hello again! We're really getting down to the nitty gritty. Jen has been hard at work getting all the little things buttoned up. We still have a lot to do, but we're reaching the finish line (I hope).....We still have to polish some of the ceremony stuff and Jen and her posse are slowly finishing up all the center piece stuff....The reception site is really looking great, although I hear it's a little muddy over there at the moment....Jen had her shower this past Saturday, it sounds like it was a blast and we got a bunch of really good stuff, so Thank you to everyone....If you haven't done so already, please send in your response card soon. Remember postage went up, and we didn't realize it when we sent out the invites, so some of you will need to add some postage (sorry)....Some have had some issues logging into our registries--For Target use Jeanette Miller, for Belk use Jen Miller, and for Lowes use Kevin Dickinson....We are really looking forward to seeing everyone in July. As of now, the official weather report for that weekend is: It's gonna be very hot and unfathomably humind. Scattered showers around 4:00 everyday, chance of rain 40%.....

Happy May 1st

Welcome to our blog...it seems our traffic has picked up a little since we sent out our invitations, so now I feel obligated to update it more regularly. If this is your first visit to our little Web site, then check out the links on the left hand side of the page, you should be able to find quite a bit of information. Such as, two local hotels, three registries, and some other stuff. Jen is VERY busy these days, keeping us all safe from the "swine flu." Seriously, she's been working a ton, and doing a great job, and I'm very proud of her, rumor is she hooked Mr. Obama up with some good information for his press conference on Tuesday(now she's a Democrat j/k). If you have not sent in your reply card, please keep in mind that postage goes up again on May 11th, and the stamps on those envelopes do not include that increase (sorry)....Also, if your planning on coming in from out of town, make your reservations now because it is a holiday. We have rooms at Country Inns and Jameson Inn (see links), and keep your ears open about a Friday night gathering for all of our out of towners.

We watched a segment on TV last night about schools banning dodgeball and tag....REALLY????!!!
